You know how much we at INCREDY care that our products are as natural as possible. In fact, we are always proud to continue our collaboration with the "Biocosmetics" certificate which ensures the organic origin of the raw materials as well as the "Vegan Attitude" certification.

Another key aspect of ours is our focus on recycling, and by law, it's mandatory to indicate on the label which types of plastic are used for the product; we primarily use containers labeled HDPE and PP5.
But... how much do we really know? Don't worry, we'll reveal a few secrets to you.

What is HDPE and why is it ideal for recycling?

HDPE is a durable, lightweight, and versatile plastic used in a wide range of products, from food containers and detergents to beverage packaging and tubes. Its molecular structure, which is more compact than other plastics such as low-density polyethylene (LDPE), makes it particularly stable and resistant to damage from mechanical and chemical stress. This characteristic makes it one of the easiest plastics to recycle.

Advantages of HDPE in recycling:

  1. High quality and purity of recycled material: HDPE can be recycled into new products, such as detergent containers, pipes, and even synthetic fabrics, without losing many of its original physical properties.
  2. Recycling Process Efficiency: The HDPE recycling process is well established and widespread, with efficient collection and treatment infrastructures in many parts of the world.
  3. Low environmental impact: Being a plastic that can be recycled numerous times, HDPE significantly reduces the need for new plastic production, contributing to lower greenhouse gas emissions and lower consumption of natural resources.

What is PP5 and why is it ideal for recycling?

PP5 (polypropylene) is another widely used plastic, known for its light weight, strength, and ability to be molded into a variety of shapes. It is commonly used for food containers, bottle caps, packaging, and automotive components.

Advantages of PP5 in recycling:

  1. Ease of separation and purification: Polypropylene can be easily separated from other materials during the recycling process, reducing treatment costs and improving the quality of the recycled material.
  2. Versatility of recycled material: Recycled PP5 can be used to produce a wide range of new items, including products for the automotive industry, clothing, and new packaging.
  3. Sustainability: Polypropylene recycling reduces the demand for virgin resources, contributing to a more efficient circularity in the plastics economy.

In conclusion, HDPE and PP5 are two plastics highly suitable for recycling, both offering great advantages in terms of recyclability, reduced environmental impact and potential for new uses.
What we at INCREDY want to emphasize is that recycling is a responsibility that cannot be delegated only to industries or institutions: we ourselves must be the first to commit, therefore it is essential to remember that change begins with our actions.
If each of us actively engaged in recycling we could help drastically reduce pollution and promote a more sustainable future.

So, remember, after thinking about your personal hygiene, also think about the world around you.
